April 17, 2017, Danielle Alvarez, 23 years old, received her hard earned and well deserved Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Danielle is one of the most accomplished female Jiu Jitsu competitors in the world. She has consistently traveled the world to test herself against the best in Jiu Jitsu and has captured all of the major IBJJF titles.
Danielle set the bar high from White to Brown Belt and is ready to step into the big leagues to accept the tough challenges ahead. Danielle looks to set the bar even higher at Black Belt.
There’s a lot of Jiu Jitsu practitioners that start off strong but unfortunately as the years go on, there are very few that will Not allow Life to happen to them and reach the goal of Black Belt. Danielle is also finishing her last few classes at the University of Texas Arlington and will have her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology this coming August 2017.
Thank you to all of the people, coaches and teammates that have helped and supported Danielle along the way. We would like to give a special thank you to Coach Bruno Bastos of Bastos BJJ Midland and Leticia Ribeiro of Gracie Humaita South Bay for all of their guidance and support.
Congratulations to Danielle again on achieving another milestone in her Jiu Jitsu journey. Stay tuned for more great things to come as she is just getting started.
